Spal SBL fans have motors sealed to IP68 and IP6K9K water resistant and dust proof standards. Brushless fans have a variable speed. As the radiator gets hotter, the fan spins faster. At cooler temperatures, the fan isn't spinning as fast. This is controlled by Spal's variable speed temperature sensors. The CFM rating that Spal provides for this fan is measured at its peak speed when the cooling system is at its hottest temperature or if you use the blue wire with an override switch. This fan sits on top of a shroud like a traditional Spal, EFE, or Maradyne fan. All brushless fans require the proper sensor and harnesses to operate. The fan connects to the SBL-YAZ-PT10 which connects to the SBL-TS-HARN which connects to your temperature sensor.
